Testarossa_Vineyards Testarossa Vineyards is located in Los Gatos, California approximately sixty miles south of San Francisco. It founded in 1993 by Rob and Diana Jensen. The name Testarossa was a nickname given to Rob when he was a young university student studying in Italy. They winery was the former site of the Mirassou Champagne cellars.Testarossa is dedicated to making small lots of vineyard-designated wines from only best vineyards in the cool ocean-influenced counties of Monterey, Santa Barbara County, California|Santa Barbara and Sonoma Counties. They receive the majority of their high quality fruit from the Bien Nacido Vineyard in the Santa Maria Valley. In Monterey County they have long-term relationships with the Sleepy Hollow Vineyard and the Pisoni Vineyard, both in the east-facing Santa Lucia Highlands Appellation, and, since 1999, with Rosella's Vineyard and Garys' Vineyard. Also in Monterey County, Testarossa is the first winery to produce a vineyard-designated Chardonnay from t! he Michaud Vineyard, farmed and owned by former 20-year Chalone Winemaker Michael Michaud.
